We played host to Mr & Mrs Inappropriately-Equipped and their lovely family over New Year.
We had a lovely evening last night. Gary nearly won at Triv. We had a game of Articulate whilst we still were and after midnight we went up to The Haybarn where we stayed until 3 a.m. dancing. A great night that shows that The Haybarn is now back to what it should be.
On New Year’s Day we took Mr & Mrs I-E for a walk down to Ing Bridge. Liz did look as though she might have been happier down at the Trafford Centre than on a bridle path but she struggled valiantly through the snow once we promised her a scoop of wine when we got to The Mortal Man.
Gary was his usual exuberant self and did star jumps all round the walk.

Liz is going to buy him a T-shirt that covers his tummy in the January sales.
As we approached the Mortal Man the mid afternoon sun cast a lovely orange glow over the mouth of the Troutbeck Valley.

A home made beefburger and chips at The Mortal Man washed down by a couple of pints of Timmy Taylors made a great start to 2010.
