So yesterday it was hotter in the Lake District than it was in Corfu. We woke this morning to another gorgeous day. Dappled sunlight coming in through the blinds and birds twittering outside.
We had breakfast on the deck and saw a deer saunter by.
Perhaps our appreciation of the day is a bit subjective though! When you can put on shorts and a T-shirt days like this are beautiful. But what if you have to wear a black fur coat? Well Suki did find a way to cool down. I think this is Flatcoat heaven
Walking back through Limefitt Park, we noticed this lovely picnic glade that they have created.
It’s enchanting isn’t it
Just further on we walked up to the Pony Trekking centre which has opened in Troutbeck this year. I hope they make a big success of this as it’s a great facility for our guests. It’s hard to imagine a more idyllic setting for a ride than this isn’t it? If Carlsberg did Pony Trekking …..???

I’m hoping I get the same nice weather when i’m hiking the Cumbrian Way in July. Looking foward to visiting the lake District!
