We played host to Mr & Mrs Inappropriately-Equipped and their lovely family over New Year. We had a lovely evening last night. Gary nearly won at Triv. We had a game of Articulate whilst we still were and after midnight we went up to The Haybarn where we stayed until 3 a.m. dancing. A [...] Having got my Chrissy / Birthday present a bit early I thought I’d better test it. I am now the proud owner of a digital SLR camera. I have no idea what half of the dials do, or even where they are in the dark so the fact that I was able to actually [...] They seem to have got the forecast the wrong way round today – The sun was breaking through an hour ago, and we were treated to this lovely sunset. Sunset over Troutbeck This time of year is so beautiful in the Lake District and the combinations you see in a single day are striking.
