We played host to Mr & Mrs Inappropriately-Equipped and their lovely family over New Year. We had a lovely evening last night. Gary nearly won at Triv. We had a game of Articulate whilst we still were and after midnight we went up to The Haybarn where we stayed until 3 a.m. dancing. A great night [...] Taking advantage of the fine weather we decided to head out to Orrest Head. One of the beauties of Limefitt Park is the fact that you can do so many fantastic walks straight from the front door of your pine lodge’s front door. We set out on a 7 mile walk that took us up Applethwaite [...] Just checking on the downward spiral of the pound against the Euro and hoping that we can still afford the occasional drink when we go skiing next year. Two years ago it was about 1.45 Euros to the £. In January 2008 there was doom and gloom when it went to a record low of 1.31 Euros [...] |
