Without a doubt the most famous poet in the history of the Lake District was William Wordsworth, but every day new pretenders to his crown are inspired by local events to put pen to paper. We started to get some critical comments in the Visitors’ books in all 3 of our lodges about the welcome and my own experiences were less than wonderful. We’ve SLASHED the prices to £249 for Windermere & Kingfisher and £239 for Otter. (Both + the £35 local cleaning charge) That’s £150 off the original price an less than £25 per person per night!!!
