It’s a bit fierce out there just now with sleet lashing the lodge. It’s amazing how the landscape changes. I love the shapes of the dry-stone walls marking out the characteristic lakeland sheep folds in the snow.

[...] Luxury lodges in the Snow Ian, our neighbour up at Limefitt Park sent me this lovely picture a couple of days back. He says that he’s been walking in the sunshine today and has some more lovely pictures of the hills covered in snow.
Today was one of those beautifully crisp Lake District days which are just made for walking. Freezing cold with the sun shining and snow on the fell tops. Applethwaite Fell from Limefitt Park We set off towards Troutbeck to find the village was in cloud. The view from the bench on Robin Lane was obscured and [...] Well, unfortunately for us we didn’t make it to Limefitt this weekend so we missed the snow shower that fell this morning.
