We played host to Mr & Mrs Inappropriately-Equipped and their lovely family over New Year. We had a lovely evening last night. Gary nearly won at Triv. We had a game of Articulate whilst we still were and after midnight we went up to The Haybarn where we stayed until 3 a.m. dancing. A [...] They seem to have got the forecast the wrong way round today – The sun was breaking through an hour ago, and we were treated to this lovely sunset. Sunset over Troutbeck This time of year is so beautiful in the Lake District and the combinations you see in a single day are striking. Sunset over Troutbeck Yes, I know, another one – but you can’t blame me can you ? Lakeland Sunset The shooting stars from the Perseid shower were still going strong last night when it was star bright and country black here in Troutbeck. Amazing! I found a site where I can calculate sunrise, sunset and moon phase information for Windermere Lodge and Kingfisher Lodge. What I find interesting is that if it’s accurate the the latest sunrise of the year is not on the same day as the earliest sunset. Sunrise, Sunsets and Moon Phases at our [...] So there we are in Mr Leahy’s vast emporium, otherwise known as Tesco Blackpool, buying hundreds of pounds worth of new gear for Kingfisher Lodge.
