Our on site pub, The Haybarn, had fallen a bit in our estimation in the recent past. We started to get some critical comments in the Visitors’ books in all 3 of our lodges about the welcome and my own experiences were less than wonderful. However, at the back end of last season a new couple [...] We still have availability for a Monday 1st to Friday 5th March- a 4 night midweek break – at the luxurious Windermere Lodge at the fantastic price of just £199 + £35 cleaning and laundry. At £234 for 4 nights for up to 4 people that’s less than £15 per person per night! She is a highly respected international expert in the [...] Every year the Lake District just seems to get more and more popular, and every year people seem to book earlier and earlier. (Rory Magrath’s series on the Lakes currently airing in 12 episodes on ITV probably isn’t doing us any harm either!) We think this is due to a combination of the fantastic scenery [...] Well, we’ve just been through the Guest Survey responses from 2009 and I’m delighted to say that we’ve continued to get a great level of satisfaction. We’ve now been doing this for 3 years and we’ve made a point of trying to maintain and exceed the great start we got in 2007. Hopefully the results [...] I’m very relieved to be able to say that we retained our English Tourist Board four star rating at Windermere Lodge today. The guy who visited us pointed out that there are very few four star lodges around, but that our’s is “a good , solid 4 star”. It shows that all the hard work [...] We got some nice coverage of our recent ROWA Content Award 2009 in The Blackpool Gazette yesterday.
