We did the last half of this walk earlier in the year (we’re too much Walking Wimps to do it all in one go ), Unfortunately the weather had closed in after we started off and our photos were not very interesting as a result. Browsing the web from my train seat on the [...] Today was one of those beautifully crisp Lake District days which are just made for walking. Freezing cold with the sun shining and snow on the fell tops. Applethwaite Fell from Limefitt Park We set off towards Troutbeck to find the village was in cloud. The view from the bench on Robin Lane [...] Windermere Airshow took place over the weekend so on a baking hot Sunday Afternoon we hired a boat from Shepherds and floated down the lake for the afternoon. The Red Arrows weren’t there this year but the Yakovlevs made up for them. We also saw the RAF Falcons display team from the boat. [...] At last the weather has turned and we had a lovely warm weekend. We made full use of it and spent Saturday afternoon sailing on Windermere.
