This is me 
Hi
Like many of you I’m new to the world of Twitter, and I’m quite excited about the possibilities it opens up.
Like many “social networking” ideas, you have to be in it to start to understand why it it works.
Twitter is basically “a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.” (Wikipedia)
So what does that mean? Well on a mundane level it means I can tell you that I’m washing my socks, or that I just ate toast for breakfast.
On a more interesting level it means that I get a constant stream of snippets of information which makes me feel like a whale swimming through a cloud of krill.
So much information – so little time! But it IS exciting and it’s amazingly useful at times.
Now I just need to find a twitter filter.
